GOAL:
Phase 1Development of Computerized Interactive Aide (C.I.A.), recently re-named as ViPIR, in collaboration with Joe Brinkley - The goal is to make whole or part of recitation online. An sketch of the design can be viewed here. We had started with Window-based video software (Dec 2005 ~ April 2006). But we realized this would not work well on the other platform such as Lunix. We decided to switch to Java-based software in May 2006. Using Java, we incorporated video and a PHYS 218 problem to guide students step by step. The first version was tested in the last week of the fall semester, 2006 with 5 volunteered students in Visual Physics 218 lab. Their response was positive.
